ANNUAL APPEAL CAMPAIGN
Q: What is the SBANT Annual Appeal?
A: Held during the first quarter of each year, the SBANT Annual Appeal is a once a year fundraising campaign
held to fund the operating expenses of the organization’s daily work. Items such as the telephone service,
newsletter, organizational postage, the SBANT website, and hundreds of other small expenses that must be paid
monthly are supported through this Annual Appeal.
Q: Who should participate in the SBANT Annual Appeal?
A: Everyone that is involved with, and cares about, the Spina Bifida Community. It will take every SBANT
constituent and supporter for the Annual Appeal to be successful. In the past the SBANT has had memberships
to offset operating expenses. In the fall of 2009 the SBANT Board made the decision to dissolve memberships
for one simple reason - to become an inclusive organization that embraces everyone as constituents. This allows
our organization to touch more families, and individuals with Spina Bifida than ever before. This will, however,
create a deficit in operating funds for 2010 without your help.
Q: How much should we give?
A: No amount is too small. All donations to the SBANT Annual Appeal will be an investment in the programs,
services and advocacy work of the Spina Bifida Association of North Texas.
