Golfer Honored at Memorial Tournament

Spina Bifida Association of North Texas member Austin Granville Baker, IV passed away last January 6th at the age of 26. Austin’s good friend Cody Caldwell and his parents Sherrie and Austin Baker, III joined forces to create the Austin Baker Memorial Golf Tournament in his honor. An avid golfer, Austin would have been proud of the 124 golfers that turned out on Saturday, June 27th at the Golf Course at Champions Circle in Fort Worth to enjoy the afternoon playing in his honor. The event was a wonderful display of friendship and love for life, and the game of golf.

Tournament coordinator Cody Caldwell made sure the event honored Austin by giving the proceeds of the day to two of Austin’s favorite organizations – the Spina Bifida Association of North Texas and the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. The SBANT receive a donation of $6,000 for the event.

Thank you to the Austin Baker, IV Golf Tournament coordinators and golfers for your support of this great event! What a wonderful way to honor Austin! Your donation to the SBANT will make a lasting difference here in North Texas.
